Rev. Carrie Ives (she/her) is a Spiritual Director, Interfaith Minister, and Avatar Master, encouraging and promoting the understanding of the universality of Love as a tool for transformation.

Since her ordination in June of 2013, Carrie has been blessed to serve as the officiant for marriages and baby blessings. She has led worship services in UU and Congregational churches and has facilitated workshops on various topics of spirituality.
In April 2015, she became officially certified as a spiritual director through San Damiano House of Prayer, affiliated with Cardinal Stritch University. This allows her to walk with people toward greater connection with the Divine, however one understands Him/Her/Them. Carrie began exploring through the Avatar Course in 2015, and she became a licensed Avatar Master in December of that year. The Avatar program has expanded the tools and skills Carrie has for her own growth, and she is pleased to offer these to her clients.
Through this page, Carrie hopes to inspire and encourage love and acts of kindness. Respectful and open dialogue is encouraged; all faiths and beliefs are honored here. The focus of the page is the Love and Interconnectedness within, between and among spiritualities and religions.

Carrie Ives considers herself a Unitarian-Universalist Buddhist Theist interfaith Minister, Spiritual Director, and Avatar Master. She recognized herself as a UU during high school and started practicing Buddhist (vipassana and metta) meditation in 2006. The climax of her battle with cystic fibrosis presented itself as a double-lung transplant in January 2011; shortly after that she felt called to serve God, recognizing the variety of ways in which people experience Him/Her/Them. This led to enrolling in the Tree of Life Interfaith Seminary program, which encouraged the exploration of one’s own spiritual path and way of knowing the Divine. During this time, God began to touch Carrie in a personal way, and she, in turn, claimed the label theist. God’s words became music through Carrie’s work as the Spiritual Songstress, which she has shared at open mics in the Lowell and Chelmsford area. Recordings of the music are still available. Carrie continued her education in spiritual direction and is now pleased to be able to offer spiritual direction personal sessions, workshops and group discussion on a full-time basis. Avatar training opened Carrie’s eyes to the unlimited potential of her life, and she feels blessed to guide others on this path.
Carrie lives in Chelmsford, MA, with her partners John and Tiffany and two cats, Solaris and Luna. She attends and volunteers at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Chelmsford, MA, and is a member of Tree of Life Interfaith Temple in Milford, NH. She enjoys creating music and traveling.
